Riaz Khadem, CEO and President of Infotrac, Inc. is an expert in strategy execution, performance management, leadership and cultural transformation.
Born in Iran, Dr. Khadem has spent most of his adult life living in the United States, Canada and England. His university education has been in Engineering and Mathematics. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois (B.S.), a graduate degree from Harvard University (M.S.) and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Oxford University (D.Phil.)
He has held academic positions at the University of Southampton, England, Laval University in Canada, and Northwestern University in the United States. Although he enjoyed the academic life, Dr. Khadem soon realized that business was his true calling, and in 1981 he made a major career shift into business consulting.
After holding various positions with major US consulting firms, Dr. Khadem started his own company, Infotrac, Inc. in 1984 in order to pursue his ideas for assisting managers to focus on key information, avoid information overload, and use customized information in a meaningful way to achieve success.
He incorporated the concepts into the book, One Page Management co-authored with Bob Lorber. Ken Blanchard, the well-known author of The One Minute__Manager was particularly intrigued with the book and offered to write a foreword for it.
One Page Management was published in the US by William Morrow in 1986 and soon after in Japan, England, Australia, Germany and nine other countries. The response to One Page Management was overwhelmingly positive, and resulted in hundreds of invitations for Dr. Khadem to speak to managers and provide advice to companies worldwide in all business sectors including manufacturing, transportation, insurance, banking, and retail.
In 2002 Dr. Khadem responded to the urging of his Spanish language publisher to produce a second book. The book was published under the title, Alineación Total (Total Alignment) in Latin America and drew Dr. Khadem’s consulting focus further into the Spanish market - particularly México.
In 2008 this book was completely revised in collaboration with Dr. Khadem’s spouse and business partner, Linda Khadem. It was published in the US in March 2008. They collaborated again in revising One Page Management. The latest versions of both books were published in Latin America in February, 2008 and in Spain in April, 2008.
Dr. Khadem has advised many major companies including United Technologies, Kodak, Bellsouth, Avery Dennison, GE Capital Mortgage, British Home Stores, Mothercare, Volksfürsorge, Hippo Bank, Bancomer, Grupo FEMSA, Liverpool, Coca Cola FEMSA, GMD, and Grupo Bimbo.
